Welcome!
Welcome to the Community Chat Network
CCN - A community that cares.
Also known as the CCN, and sometimes vTeen Chat, due to our largest partner, vTeen.com The Community Chat Network has grown from a small IRC server to a much larger and more exciting venture.
We would like to welcome the Okanagan College and area to the CCN! Visit my college's site at Okanagan College
The original site that bought the server, Teen Support, has been merged into the CCN and will continue to help students in health, homework or even just a shoulder to lean on. The CCN is all about quality, not quantity. No porn, no warez, no cybersex, COPPA enforcement and very skilled staff. Here at the CCN we are a small family. As you visit the chat more often and people get to know you, you feel at ease and can talk about problems in your life or help others with their problems. On the CCN you can trust people, especially staff and regular members. One thing I would like to mention, you are on a private server run for public users. The "Freedom of Speech" and other 'rights' are not guaranteed. Attacking a user, swearing heavily or sexual connotations will be restricted and debates can be controlled to prevent minority attacks or severe hatred on a topic.
With an average of 20 people connected to chat at anyone time, you can guarentee to find someone fun to talk to! So! if you're aged between 13 and 25, why not come and join in the fun!
Restrictions
If you are under 13 years of age...
If you are under 13 years of age, you come under the US "COPPA" law (Children Online Privacy Protection Act) Sometimes mistaken for "COPA" which was abolished several years ago. This act prevents us from storing any personal information about yourself, such as e-mail address. Therefore as our registration process requires an e-mail address to be specified, you MAY NOT register your nickname, or register on our forums without written permission from your parents. This does not however prevent you from chatting. If you misbehave and you're under 13, you risk getting banned under COPPA regulations. You can not register on the forums either.
Network-Wide Rules
The Community Chat Network bases its success upon years of experience. From this experience a set of rules has been developed and can be viewed here. If you do not agree with any of these rules please do not come to chat. By connecting you agree to abide by the rules listed. Failiure to comply could result in you being permanently disconnected, and or banned, from the Community Chat Network and Forums. Any decisions taken are at the descretion of the IRC Operators (Commonly refered to as Opers) and users are asked NOT to argue against such decisions except in the offical complaints section on the forums.
